EcoFlow TITAN 5000 Classic + Extra Battery 5kWh

Overview
This bundle pairs the EcoFlow TITAN Classic, a plug-and-play home backup battery with 4,000 W of 120V output, with a TITAN Battery 5kWh for 10 kWh of storage from day one, expandable up to 30 kWh.
EcoFlow's tagline for the series is "Whole Home Power. Within Reach." TITAN is built for first-time buyers: no hardwiring, no contractors and no months of waiting.
The Classic is the most accessible model in the range. It delivers reliable 120V backup for your essentials (refrigerator, lights, Wi-Fi router, computers, CPAP) with up to 3,200 W of solar input, smart time-of-use charging and automatic backup when paired with the Smart Home Panel 10 (120V).
This bundle includes:
- EcoFlow TITAN 5000 Classic
- EcoFlow TITAN Battery 5kWh (10 kWh total)
Market opportunity and positioning
EcoFlow sizes the U.S. need at 125 million households (78% of all households), yet only about 1% of them have backup power today. Three barriers keep families from buying, and the TITAN series was designed to remove each of them:
| Barrier | Why families hold back | How TITAN Classic answers it |
|---|---|---|
| Too expensive | 54.9% of interested buyers walk away because of price | The lowest entry price in the TITAN series, made possible by a 200V architecture, 40160 high-rate cells and an integrated SiC inverter |
| Too complicated | Home batteries normally require professional installation | The TITAN unit itself is plug-and-play; only the optional Smart Home Panel 10 needs an electrician |
| Too invisible | Most families don't know a battery can connect to their home | Use it standalone on day one, then connect it to up to 10 home circuits through Smart Home Panel 10 (120V) |
Within the series, the TITAN Classic is positioned as the lowest barrier to entry: 120V basic backup for apartments and small homes, covering the fridge, lights, router and desktop. The TITAN adds 240V comfort backup for mid-income families, and the TITAN Plus is the all-in-one flagship. All three share the same 5 kWh base battery, expandable to 30 kWh.

Essential whole-home backup power
The TITAN Classic delivers 4,000 W of continuous 120V power, enough to run your refrigerator, microwave, Wi-Fi, lighting and a CPAP at the same time. Plug appliances straight into its three 20A outlets, power an RV through the 30A TT-30R outlet, or connect it to your home circuits with the 120V Smart Home Panel 10.

The power comes from EcoFlow's 40160 cells. With 2C discharge (4x the rate of conventional home storage cells), fewer cells are needed to deliver the same output. They run cooler, charge more evenly and have fewer potential points of failure.
Compared with EcoFlow's DELTA Pro 3, the TITAN Classic stores more energy in a lighter, more compact body:

Double your backup with the TITAN Battery 5kWh

This bundle includes a TITAN Battery 5kWh, bringing your system to 10 kWh from day one: roughly twice the essential backup runtime. It uses the same LFP chemistry, is UL 1973 certified and carries its own 5-year warranty. You can still add up to four more packs later, for a maximum of 30 kWh, with no second installation. Adding batteries increases runtime but does not change the unit's 4,000 W rated output.
Everyday savings and solar
TITAN Classic is not just for outages. With up to 3,200 W of solar input and AI time-of-use optimization in the EcoFlow app, it charges when energy is cheap (or free from the sun) and powers your home when rates peak. EcoFlow estimates savings of up to $2,700 a year for a 15 kWh TITAN Classic system with Smart Home Panel 10 and 3.2 kW of solar.*

- Direct solar input: connect compatible panels straight to TITAN's HP500 port with the included Solar to HP500 cable.
- No roof needed: EcoFlow's courtyard solar kit (panels + fixed brackets) lets you install solar yourself and skip the cost of rooftop work.
- Smarter charging: 3-day solar forecasting and usage learning decide when to charge and when to discharge.
Want whole-home AC coupling with an existing rooftop solar system? That feature is available on the TITAN and TITAN Plus.
Installation and the Smart Home Panel 10
The TITAN Classic itself needs no installation. Only the optional Smart Home Panel 10 (120V) is installed, and it is designed to make that job fast:
- Pre-wired panel: SHP10 is modular with standardized wiring completed at the factory. Your main panel circuits are not modified; one end uses a quick-install connector built to North American standards, the other plugs directly into TITAN.
- Professional installation service: EcoFlow offers official installation across the U.S. with transparent, unified pricing, typically scheduled within a week and completed in a single day.
- Plug-and-play expansion: add batteries later with no second installation, and take the unit with you when you move.
- Zero maintenance: no regular maintenance is needed after installation.
Why it costs less than traditional systems
EcoFlow attributes TITAN's lower price to three engineering choices, each of which reduces parts or material cost:
- 200V high-voltage architecture (industry first): higher voltage means lower current, so thinner wires, less heat, smaller components and lower material costs. The same physics that made EVs affordable, applied to home energy.
- 40160 high-rate cells: 2C discharge means fewer cells for the same power output, which lowers the bill of materials.
- Integrated SiC inverter: a third-generation silicon-carbide inverter combines AFCI, MPPT, insulation detection, auxiliary power and power conversion in a single module. Fewer parts, less space, lower cost.

And it doesn't cut corners on safety: TITAN Classic is certified to UL 9540, UL 1973 and UL 2743, North America's highest standards for residential energy storage, and runs below 30 dB at 2,000 W.
Intelligent backup and energy management
Predict, protect and optimize, automatically. The TITAN system works in three layers:
Forecasting. TITAN learns your household's usage patterns, combines weather data into a 3-day solar forecast and uses time-of-use pricing to store energy off-peak and use it at peak times.
Smart power distribution (with SHP10).
- 10-circuit control: scheduled on/off, custom charge and discharge settings and adjustable circuit priorities.
- Seamless switching between the grid and stored energy.
- Real-time monitoring of generation, storage and usage in the EcoFlow app.
Emergency backup, in three stages.
- Before the storm: Storm Guard Mode sends real-time alerts and automatically charges TITAN to 100% from solar or grid power.
- When it hits: TITAN and SHP10 switch from grid to battery in under 20 ms. Lights stay on, Wi-Fi stays up. (Standalone EPS: under 10 ms.)
- During the storm: prioritize appliances in the app. Essentials stay powered while non-essential loads are reduced, extending backup time by up to 42%.**

FAQ:
Why choose TITAN + SHP10 over a traditional home battery system?
TITAN + SHP10 matches the performance of mainstream installed home batteries while eliminating their biggest drawbacks: high upfront cost, opaque installation pricing and expensive long-term maintenance.
a. Traditional home storage has flaws that can't be fixed. Installed battery systems typically require a five-figure upfront investment (solar-bundled projects can exceed $30,000), quotes vary widely and rarely show what you're paying for, and a fixed installation means every expansion, relocation or service visit adds another bill.
b. TITAN delivers home-battery-class performance. The TITAN Classic outputs 4,000W of 120V power and accepts up to 3,200W of solar input, enough to keep your essential appliances running during an outage while cutting your everyday electricity bill.
c. DIY design cuts cost, time and upkeep. Start from 5kWh and scale up to 30kWh as your needs grow, with no over-buying on day one. Installation cost and time drop dramatically versus a fixed system, and because the system is modular and movable, maintenance, upgrades and even moving house stay inexpensive. Paired with the SHP10 smart panel, TITAN delivers automatic backup without backfeeding the grid, so permitting is simpler and faster, and in some states not required at all.
How does TITAN compare with the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra and DELTA Pro Ultra X?
All three are whole-home backup systems; the difference is scale. TITAN is the balanced choice for most households: 5kWh per unit, expandable to 30kWh, with 4kW to 7.2kW of output depending on the model, and it pairs with Smart Home Panel 10 to back up the circuits a typical home relies on. DELTA Pro Ultra is built for heavier backup needs, with 6kWh per unit, 12 smart circuits and the ability to scale up to 90kWh and 21.6kW by paralleling units, which makes it a better fit for outage-prone areas. DELTA Pro Ultra X is EcoFlow's flagship, scaling from 12kW to 36kW of output and 12kWh to 180kWh of capacity for maximum backup and savings headroom.
Which model is right for me: TITAN Classic, TITAN, or TITAN Plus?
TITAN Classic covers the essentials: its built-in 5kWh battery backs up 120V devices such as your refrigerator, lights, Wi-Fi and computers. TITAN adds 120V/240V split-phase output (7.2kW) and 4kW of solar input, so it can run compatible 240V appliances, including some 3-ton central air conditioners. TITAN Plus goes further with up to 8kW of solar across two inputs, more power per 120V leg and up to 10kW of output when solar and battery work together. All three start at 5kWh and can be expanded later.
Is TITAN still worth it if I don't have solar?
Yes. TITAN charges from the grid, so it can sit fully charged and ready for an outage, and you can add compatible solar panels later. If your utility uses time-of-use rates, a properly connected TITAN can also charge when electricity is cheap and power your home when it is expensive. On a flat-rate plan, its main value is backup protection.
Can I start with one TITAN and add batteries later?
Yes. Every TITAN main unit includes a 5kWh battery and accepts up to five TITAN Battery 5kWh expansion packs, for a maximum of 30kWh. Start with what you need today and add capacity as your needs grow. Expansion batteries need the matching connection cable (sold separately). Adding batteries extends runtime but does not raise the unit's rated output power.
Can I use TITAN on its own? What does the Smart Home Panel 10 add?
Yes. You can plug appliances straight into TITAN's outlets. Adding Smart Home Panel 10 (SHP10) links TITAN to up to 10 selected home circuits for automatic backup and circuit-level control. You can begin with direct plug-in use and move to a home-integrated setup whenever you're ready.
Why is TITAN easier to install than a traditional home battery? Can it lower labor costs?
Much of the work is done before the system reaches your home. TITAN is an all-in-one floor-standing unit, and SHP10 comes with breakers, monitoring and pre-wired connections built in, so your installer sources fewer parts and does less wiring and assembly on site. Less on-site work usually means a quicker install and lower labor costs, although the final price depends on your home and your installer's quote.
Can I install TITAN myself or hire my own electrician?
Using TITAN as a standalone unit with plugged-in appliances is a simple self-setup following the product guide. Wiring the Smart Home Panel 10 into your home's electrical system must be done by a qualified, licensed electrician, and you're free to hire your own local installer.
Will TITAN switch to backup power automatically during an outage?
Yes. Once installed with SHP10 and powered on, the system switches your connected backup circuits to battery power within 20ms of a grid failure, with nothing for you to do. Used on its own with appliances plugged in directly, TITAN's EPS function switches over within 10ms.
How can I recharge TITAN during a long outage?
Connect solar panels directly to TITAN's solar input (within its input specifications), or charge it from an EcoFlow or third-party generator using the included AC charging cable. Note that a standard grid-tied rooftop solar system shuts off during outages for safety (anti-islanding), so it can't charge TITAN through that connection; for outage charging, use panels wired directly to TITAN.
Do I need to manage charging and discharging every day?
No. In the EcoFlow app you set your daily strategy and self-consumption level once, and the system balances solar, battery and household demand automatically. Storm Mode can also top the battery up to 100% ahead of a detected severe-weather event so you're ready for a possible outage.
Is TITAN safe to use inside my home or garage?
Yes. TITAN uses thermally stable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, a battery management system and multiple electrical protections. TITAN main units are certified to UL 2743, UL 1973 and UL 9540, and the TITAN Battery 5kWh to UL 1973. Place it in a dry, ventilated indoor space (home or garage) within the specified temperature range.
How quiet is TITAN?
Very. In EcoFlow testing at 77°F (25°C), measured from 3.3 ft (1 m), TITAN Classic stays under 30dB at 2,000W of output. Actual noise varies with load and cooling needs.
What warranty comes with the TITAN system?
The TITAN main unit, the TITAN Battery 5kWh and the Smart Home Panel 10 are each covered by a 5-year warranty. See EcoFlow's official warranty policy for full details.
