Overview
The EcoFlow TITAN Plus is the flagship of the TITAN series: a plug-and-play whole-home backup battery with 10 kW of output (with solar), 5 kWh of storage per unit and expansion up to 30 kWh.
EcoFlow's tagline for the series is "Whole Home Power. Within Reach." The deck pitches it at first-time buyers: no hardwiring, no contractors and no months of waiting. EcoFlow claims 100% whole-home power at 40% of the traditional cost.
The Plus sits at the top of the range. It adds 8 kW of solar input, support for unbalanced loads and whole-home energy savings through the Smart Home Panel 10 (SHP10), and the deck lists "longest payback for solar households" among its selling points.
Market opportunity and positioning
EcoFlow sizes the U.S. need at 125 million households (78% of all households) but puts backup-power penetration at only 1%. Its conversion funnel runs from 125M households with demand, to 31.17M aware, to 1.26M that have actually purchased.
The deck names three barriers that keep families from buying, and the table shows how the deck answers each one:

The TITAN Plus is one of five configurations in the series. EcoFlow describes the Plus as the all-in-one flagship, the TITAN as the best value for mid-income families, and the TITAN Classic as the lowest barrier to entry. All three share the same 5 kWh base battery, expandable to 30 kWh.

Key specifications

The 7.2 kW and 10 kW figures come from two different slides: 7.2 kW is the continuous output from the battery alone, and 10 kW is reached when solar panels feed the system.
Whole-home backup power
EcoFlow's first claim is that one TITAN Plus runs a 3-ton air conditioner, a refrigerator, a TV and whole-home lighting at the same time, with no soft starter and no load calculations.
The deck explains the power with the cells. Traditional home batteries need large capacity to deliver high power. TITAN uses 40160 cells with 2C discharge, which EcoFlow says is 4x the rate of conventional home storage cells, so 5 kWh of battery gives 7.2 kW of continuous output, scaling to 10 kW with solar panels.
EcoFlow compares the Plus with Tesla's Powerwall 3 on two measures:

|---|---|---|
|
Power per kWh of storage |
1.44 kW |
0.85 kW |
|
Power density |
111.62 W/L |
88 W/L |
That is the deck's "70% more power per unit of stored energy." The Powerwall figures are EcoFlow's, not independently verified.
Two software-and-hardware features are exclusive to the Plus within the series:
- X-Boost 2.0 delivers up to 5 kW on L1 or L2 individually (7.2 kW total maximum) to handle heavy single-phase appliances, with no phase balancing or load calculation needed.
- X-Fusion 2.0 keeps the full 7.2 kW available while the unit is charging, using solar or off-peak battery energy to make up the difference. It combines compatible solar and battery power for up to 10 kW of output.
Whole-home savings and solar
EcoFlow says the TITAN system can save up to $4,000 a year, and that battery plus solar can offset up to 100% of daily consumption under 10 kW. The $4,000 figure is a marketing claim with no assumptions given in the deck.
The savings come from an AC-coupled design. Built-in sensors track solar generation and grid consumption in real time, and the system automatically prioritizes solar and stored energy to reduce grid dependence. A CT sensor measures power flowing to or from the grid, and the energy-management layer adjusts charging and discharging from that reading.
Works with existing solar. The deck calls the system 100% compatible with existing rooftop solar: no rewiring and no replacement of the current inverter. It also works with third-party PV inverters and with a home battery already installed. EcoFlow says SHP10 + TITAN Plus is the first system to support whole-home AC coupling.
New solar installs. Two HP500 quick-connect ports take up to 8 kW of solar input, which EcoFlow estimates at about 38 kWh per day. For households without a roof array, EcoFlow also offers a courtyard kit of panels and fixed brackets that the owner can install.
What stored solar changes. In the deck's worked example, with the same home demand and the same solar generation, the share of solar used at home rises from 50% to 96% once TITAN stores the daytime surplus for the evening.
The deck also compares TITAN with two other EcoFlow systems, labelled DPU and DPUX there:

Installation and the Smart Home Panel 10
Only the Smart Home Panel 10 (SHP10) has to be installed; the TITAN Plus itself needs no installation. That is the core of EcoFlow's "no hardwiring, no contractors" pitch, although the deck still relies on professional installers for the panel.
- Pre-wired panel. The SHP10 is modular with standardized pre-wiring completed at the factory. No on-site wiring by electricians is required, and the main panel's external circuits are not modified. One end is a plug-and-play quick-install connector built to North American electrical standards; the other end plugs directly into the TITAN.
- Professional installation service. EcoFlow offers official installation across the entire U.S. with transparent, unified pricing. The deck says it can be arranged within a week and finished in one day, with EcoFlow electricians helping to initialise the system in the app.
- Plug-and-play expansion. Adding batteries later needs no second installation, and the unit can be taken along when the owner moves.
- Courtyard solar option. A kit of solar panels and fixed brackets lets owners install solar themselves instead of paying for rooftop work. An existing third-party PV inverter stays in place.
- Zero maintenance. No regular maintenance is required after installation.
Why it costs less than traditional systems
EcoFlow attributes the lower price to three engineering choices, each of which reduces parts or material cost.
- 200V high-voltage architecture (an industry first, per EcoFlow). Higher voltage means lower current, which allows thinner wires, less heat, smaller components and much lower material costs. EcoFlow compares it to the physics that made EVs affordable.
- 40160 high-rate cells. 2C discharge means fewer cells are needed for the same power output, so the bill of materials and the price drop.
- Integrated inverter with SiC. A third-generation silicon-carbide inverter combines AFCI, MPPT, insulation detection, auxiliary power and power conversion in one module: fewer parts, less space, lower cost.
The deck frames the result two ways that do not match: "40% the traditional cost" in the positioning slide, and "60% less" with "one-third the price" on the cost slide. Check which figure EcoFlow wants used before quoting either.
Intelligent backup and energy management
EcoFlow sells the software side as "predict, protect and optimize, automatically," in three layers.
Forecasting. The system learns household usage patterns, combines weather data into a 3-day solar forecast, and uses time-of-use (TOU) pricing to store energy off-peak and use it at peak times. EcoFlow claims up to 20% more savings than traditional energy management.
Smart power distribution through the SHP10.
- 10-circuit control: scheduled on/off, custom charge and discharge settings and adjustable circuit priorities.
- Seamless grid switching between the grid and stored energy.
- Real-time monitoring of generation, storage and usage in the EcoFlow app and PowerInsight.
Emergency backup, in three stages.
- Before the storm: Storm Guard Mode sends real-time app alerts and automatically charges the TITAN to 100% from solar or grid power.
- When it hits: the TITAN and SHP10 switch from grid to battery in under 20 ms, so lights and Wi-Fi stay on.
-
During the storm: the owner prioritizes appliances in the app, essential devices stay powered and non-essential loads are reduced. EcoFlow says this extends backup time by up to 42%, based on its own internal testing of SHP10 load management against standard backup operation.

TITAN Plus against the rest of the range
The Plus is the only model with X-Boost 2.0 and X-Fusion 2.0, and it has the highest output (10 kW against 7.2 kW for the TITAN and 4 kW for the Classic).

FAQ:
Why choose TITAN + SHP10 over a traditional home battery system?
TITAN + SHP10 matches the performance of mainstream installed home batteries while eliminating their biggest drawbacks: high upfront cost, opaque installation pricing, and expensive long-term maintenance.
a. Traditional home storage has flaws that can't be fixed. Installed battery systems typically require a five-figure upfront investment (solar-bundled projects can exceed over $30,000), quotes vary widely and rarely show what you're paying for, and a fixed installation means every expansion, relocation, or service visit adds another bill.
b. TITAN delivers home-battery-class performance. The TITAN Plus outputs 7,200–10,000W and accepts up to 8kW of solar input — enough to run most household appliances during an outage while maximizing everyday savings on your electricity bill.
c. DIY design cuts cost, time, and upkeep. Start from 5kWh and scale up to 30kWh as your needs grow — no over-buying on day one. Installation cost and time drop dramatically versus a fixed system, and because the system is modular and movable, maintenance, upgrades, and even moving house stay inexpensive. Paired with the SHP10 smart panel, TITAN delivers automatic whole-home backup without backfeeding the grid — so permitting is simpler and faster, and in some states not required at all.
How does TITAN compare with the EcoFlow DELTA Pro Ultra and DELTA Pro Ultra X?
All three are whole-home backup systems; the difference is scale. TITAN is the balanced choice for most households: 5kWh per unit, expandable to 30kWh, with 4kW to 7.2kW of output depending on the model, and it pairs with Smart Home Panel 10 to back up the circuits a typical home relies on. DELTA Pro Ultra is built for heavier backup needs, with 6kWh per unit, 12 smart circuits and the ability to scale up to 90kWh and 21.6kW by paralleling units, which makes it a better fit for outage-prone areas. DELTA Pro Ultra X is EcoFlow's flagship, scaling from 12kW to 36kW of output and 12kWh to 180kWh of capacity for maximum backup and savings headroom.
Which model is right for me: TITAN Classic, TITAN, or TITAN Plus?
TITAN Classic covers the essentials: its built-in 5kWh battery backs up 120V devices such as your refrigerator, lights, Wi-Fi and computers. TITAN adds 120V/240V split-phase output (7.2kW) and 4kW of solar input, so it can run compatible 240V appliances, including some 3-ton central air conditioners. TITAN Plus goes further with up to 8kW of solar across two inputs, more power per 120V leg and up to 10kW of output when solar and battery work together. All three start at 5kWh and can be expanded later.
Is TITAN still worth it if I don't have solar?
Yes. TITAN charges from the grid, so it can sit fully charged and ready for an outage, and you can add compatible solar panels later. If your utility uses time-of-use rates, a properly connected TITAN can also charge when electricity is cheap and power your home when it is expensive. On a flat-rate plan, its main value is backup protection.
Can I start with one TITAN and add batteries later?
Yes. Every TITAN main unit includes a 5kWh battery and accepts up to five TITAN Battery 5kWh expansion packs, for a maximum of 30kWh. Start with what you need today and add capacity as your needs grow. Expansion batteries need the matching connection cable (sold separately). Adding batteries extends runtime but does not raise the unit's rated output power.
Can I use TITAN on its own? What does the Smart Home Panel 10 add?
Yes. You can plug appliances straight into TITAN's outlets. Adding Smart Home Panel 10 (SHP10) links TITAN to up to 10 selected home circuits for automatic backup and circuit-level control. You can begin with direct plug-in use and move to a home-integrated setup whenever you're ready.
Why is TITAN easier to install than a traditional home battery? Can it lower labor costs?
Much of the work is done before the system reaches your home. TITAN is an all-in-one floor-standing unit, and SHP10 comes with breakers, monitoring and pre-wired connections built in, so your installer sources fewer parts and does less wiring and assembly on site. Less on-site work usually means a quicker install and lower labor costs, although the final price depends on your home and your installer's quote.
Can I install TITAN myself or hire my own electrician?
Using TITAN as a standalone unit with plugged-in appliances is a simple self-setup following the product guide. Wiring the Smart Home Panel 10 into your home's electrical system must be done by a qualified, licensed electrician, and you're free to hire your own local installer.
Will TITAN switch to backup power automatically during an outage?
Yes. Once installed with SHP10 and powered on, the system switches your connected backup circuits to battery power within 20ms of a grid failure, with nothing for you to do. Used on its own with appliances plugged in directly, TITAN's EPS function switches over within 10ms.
How can I recharge TITAN during a long outage?
Connect solar panels directly to TITAN's solar input (within its input specifications), or charge it from an EcoFlow or third-party generator using the included AC charging cable. Note that a standard grid-tied rooftop solar system shuts off during outages for safety (anti-islanding), so it can't charge TITAN through that connection; for outage charging, use panels wired directly to TITAN.
Do I need to manage charging and discharging every day?
No. In the EcoFlow app you set your daily strategy and self-consumption level once, and the system balances solar, battery and household demand automatically. Storm Mode can also top the battery up to 100% ahead of a detected severe-weather event so you're ready for a possible outage.
Is TITAN safe to use inside my home or garage?
Yes. TITAN uses thermally stable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, a battery management system and multiple electrical protections. TITAN main units are certified to UL 2743, UL 1973 and UL 9540, and the TITAN Battery 5kWh to UL 1973. Place it in a dry, ventilated indoor space (home or garage) within the specified temperature range.
How quiet is TITAN?
Very. In EcoFlow testing at 77°F (25°C), measured from 3.3 ft (1 m), TITAN Classic stays under 30dB at 2,000W of output. Actual noise varies with load and cooling needs.
What warranty comes with the TITAN system?
The TITAN main unit, the TITAN Battery 5kWh and the Smart Home Panel 10 are each covered by a 5-year warranty. See EcoFlow's official warranty policy for full details.
